Chronic cellular level inflammation makes it difficult to fight covid-19. It is also the root cause of obesity, heart disease and diabetes. Inflammation from an injury is part of a healthy immune cycle which is a necessary part of healing. When we aren't active enough, and eat the modern processed western diet our bodies react with a low level chronic inflammation which is bad because our cells cannot perform optimally and thus our immune system cannot perform optimally. To optimize defense against sickness, I recommend an anti-inflammatory diet, ask me more - happy to answer. In addition to cardio, one should do specialized exercises to strengthen the deep muscles of respiration that are often neurologically under-active due to a sedentary population. It is these very muscles that fatigue and compromise respiration in covid-19 cases. I will post videos on how to do this over the weekend. www.trainsmartfit.com. Stay tuned.
