Congratulations to Police Officer Jack Castronova and K9 EJ who were honored by the Nassau County Legislature as Top Cops for March 2026!

Back in December, they responded to a call of a missing woman suffering from Dementia who had wandered off in freezing conditions. While conducting a search of the area, EJ picked up a scent leading to them successfully locating her where she was evaluated and treated.

Earlier today the Nassau PBA stood alongside the family and friends of our hero Patricia Espinosa as the charges were upgraded against her killer. During a press conference following the proceedings President Tommy Shevlin expressed what the evidence is showing so far. “This was not an accident!”

We once again thank DA Ray Tierney and his staff as they work towards a conviction. And also thank everyone for their continued support and remembering Patricia and her family.

The Nassau County PBA is beyond grateful to everyone who showed up and supported the LI Pizza Strong Event honoring Nassau County Police Officer Patricia Espinosa. Your participation and kindness truly make a difference. Taking part in the event, PBA President Tommy Shevlin along with some of Patricia’s co-workers, members of the PBA Executive Board along with Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman sat for pizza at King Umbertos in Elmont. Thanks to everyone who purchased pizza, shared a post, and every kind word of support for Patricia and her family.

Thanks again to the organizers and the over 300 pizzerias who led this event. Your kindness and support of our fallen hero will never be forgotten!
