This week we recognize Physician Anesthesiologists Week, honoring the physicians who play a critical role in patient safety, comfort, and care before, during, and after surgery.
At Palo Pinto General Hospital, we are proud to celebrate Dr. Kelly Matlock, our physician anesthesiologist, whose leadership and expertise help ensure safe, high-quality care for our patients every day.

Her strong decision-making skills and sharp critical thinking consistently bring calm and clarity to even the most complex situations. She has a way of balancing professionalism with a touch of quirkiness and humor that puts both patients and colleagues at ease (often with a coffee in hand).
What truly sets her apart is the way she treats her patients—with the same care, respect, and compassion she would want for herself or her own family. That mindset is evident in every interaction and every clinical decision she makes.
