We're hiring a Communications Manager!

Are you a passionate about comprehensive s*xual health care and education? Join Family Tree Clinic and help connect our community to our mission every day.

In this hands-on role, you'll lead our day-to-day communications as a member of the Advancement team. You'll create content for digital and print (both visuals and copy) that keeps our communities informed and engaged, while supporting fundraising, events, and organization-wide initiatives through strategic communications.

As our organization's sole communications staff member, you'll collaborate across teams to elevate community voices, expand our reach, and ensure everything we share reflects our values, mission, and brand identity.

For Trans Day of Visibility this year, we wanted to share some love notes for Trans youth. This is part of a project organized by Chandler (he/him), one of our incredible S*x Educators and Clinic Health Mentors who takes courage from the DIY brilliance of Trans people everywhere.

Thank you to North Star Therapy Animals for bringing Mishka and Frank to Family Tree Clinic today! Mishka and Frank got to hang out with us in our weekly drop-in program for LGBTQ youth (ages 13-24), Freeing Ourselves and Finding Community, which we host at Family Tree in partnership with .

Each week, participants get a meal together, transportation, and real connection time with each other, as well as fun and enriching activities. Like gardening. Or hanging out with pups. Or eating tacos. (Or all three).

Applications are now open for Family Tree's KiSS program!

KiSS (Keeping it Safe and S*xy) is a 5-week summer program for LGBTQIA+ teens and allies to train as peer s*x educators. Participants will learn about a new topic each day like anatomy, s*xual orientation, gender, birth control, reproductive justice, and more!

Here's what one parent of a KiSS participant had to say about their teen's experience:

"KiSS was my kiddo's first paid “job”... I would highly recommend this program to families looking for opportunities to support the development of their teen's identity formation, leadership skills, and emotional well-being."

Participants also have the opportunity to earn money and build community connections. KiSS is FREE to join and Family Tree will provide meals, bus fare, and all materials.

We were grateful to stand with advocates across Minnesota at Reproductive Freedom Lobby Day on Monday.

Family Tree Clinic is a proud founding member of the UnRestrict Minnesota coalition: fighting to protect, expand, and destigmatize abortion care and all reproductive health care in our state.

Thanks to everyone who showed up for what matters: expanding access and protecting bodily autonomy. Our Executive Director, Annie Van Avery, spoke at the rally and reminded us that our lived experiences guide the way forward - and that real power comes from showing up together in community.

At Family Tree Clinic, we'll keep fighting for s*xual, reproductive, and gender affirming care and health education that is accessible, affirming, and rooted in community. We'll keep fighting for healthcare for all. No exceptions. Because all of our fights are interconnected. And so are the solutions.

Keep showing up. Keep caring for yourselves and each other.

CREATE The Village is happening on Friday, March 20th!

Do you like to sip? Do you like to paint? How about discussing s*x ed while doing both? Then join us for Family Tree Clinic’s Equity Programs’ Parents Sip and Paint. Together we'll paint, yap, eat, drink, and discuss topics of s*xual health, childhood development, and parenting. We'll supply the paint, canvases, NA beverages, and dinner from a local restaurant.
