Come celebrate Black joy with us this Friday!
This week, April 11- 17, is Black Maternal Health Week (BMHW). Founded by Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Black Maternal Health week amplifies the voices of Black Mamas and birthing folks by centering the values and traditions of the reproductive birth justice movements. This year's theme is "Rooted in Joy and Justice" - affirming that equity and celebration are both essential to Black Maternal Health.
In celebration, join us this Friday, April 17th from 5 - 7 p.m. for Create the Village, our monthly Sip & Paint at Family Tree Clinic for parents and trusted adults of Black children, created by and for Black communities.
Enjoy a free meal, childcare, and Lyft rides as we build connection, healing, and joy together.
This is a space to ask questions that we're not sure how to say out loud, share stories and ideas on modeling values with the kids in our lives, and build relationships with other adults who are also having these talks.
It's also a place to have fun.
RSVP today by visiting bit.ly/CreatetheVillage2026 or by emailing racha@familytreeclinic.org.
