Every time we walk together I leave feeling full in a way that’s hard to describe.

There’s real science behind it. Movement regulates our nervous systems, and doing it alongside other women amplifies that. But honestly, you don’t need the research to feel it. Yesterday said everything.

More walks on the way. Follow along. 🌿

Did you know therapy doesn’t have to happen in an office? 🌿

Walk + Talk therapy is exactly what it sounds like — and it’s one of the most powerful things I offer at Wise Womxn Wellness in Stillwater, MN.

Moving our bodies while we process? Science-backed, soul-approved.

Have you ever noticed your best ideas don’t come at a desk… they come in the car, the shower, or on a walk? 🚶‍♀️✨

Last weekend at our business retreat, we did what we do best — we walked and we talked.

And somewhere along the way, someone paused and said:

“This time last year, we were on a walk just like this… and we dreamed up the Walking Club. And now, it’s real.”

You’re real. This community is real.

And here’s the science to back up what we already know in our bones 👇

Research out of Stanford found that walking boosted creative output in 81% of participants — with an average increase of 60% compared to sitting.

Movement is medicine. For your body and your mind.

It’s a big reason Wise Womxn Walking Club exists — and it’s the energy behind something we’ve been quietly dreaming up on our walks lately… 👀

We’re in the early stages of planning something special. A retreat for wise womxn craving connection, fresh air, and the kind of conversations that are therapeutic — but remember…
this is not therapy 😄

Stay tuned, wise ones. This is going to be good. 🌿

Spring has officially sprung (Minnesota-style). We leapt forward an hour, experienced a blizzard followed shortly thereafter by a 70 degree day, Aries Season began, and the ladies of Wise Womxn Wellness ushered in the Spring Equinox with our Annual Wise Womxn retreat. Things are beginning to thaw and come out of hibernation, both literally and metaphorically. We are dusting things off, decluttering, and beginning the process of planting new seeds. Can you feel it? This week’s collective reading honors this seasonal shift. Read on at the Tarot Tuesday link in our bio. ✨

Wise Womxn Walking Club Stillwater meets rain, shine — or snow! ❄️☀️

There’s something powerful about women moving together in community, especially when the trail is quiet and the air is crisp.

Whether you’re looking to move your body, clear your mind, or just connect with like-minded women — this walk is for you.

Hot take: sometimes filling your cup looks like doing absolutely nothing productive with your best gals. ✨

This week our curiosity is pointed squarely at one thing — our upcoming Annual Wise Womxn Wellness Retreat.

No book recs. No podcast episodes. Just the pure, unapologetic anticipation of a few days where we take care of exactly one person — ourselves.

Hot tub. Puzzle. Good conversation. Zero obligations.

We talk a lot in this space about filling your own cup. Sometimes that looks like morning routines and mindful movement. Sometimes it looks like this. Both count. Both matter. 🌿

More to come. Stay tuned. 😄

What if healing wasn’t a checklist — but a garden? 🌱

This week on This is Not Therapy, we welcomed the most magical guest to the couch: Jen Anderson, ecosomatic practitioner, poet, artist, and who we are officially calling a grounded fairy. 🧚

Jen’s work lives at the intersection of somatics, ecology, art, and energy medicine — and this conversation went deep. We talked about what Somatic Gardening actually is, how flower essences work as a subtle energetic medicine, and what it means to remember who you were before the world told you who to be.

Jen has a way of putting words to things you’ve always felt but never quite named. 🌿

This one is a deep breath. We think you’re going to love it.

☀️ My new favorite morning ritual…

Bundle up. Grab your coffee. Sit outside 10 minutes before sunrise.
As the sun comes up, slowly scan the horizon — back and forth — taking in the light and the stillness.

Why? Because morning sunlight + horizon scanning activates your parasympathetic nervous system and signals safety to your body. Most of our photoreceptors live in our eyes, and getting that natural light early is one of the simplest, most powerful things you can do for your wellbeing.

It feels almost like bilateral stimulation — meditative, grounding, and it sets the tone for everything that follows.

Small habits. Big shifts. 🌅

We dive into topics just like this on “This is Not Therapy”— because understanding your body IS a part of understanding your mind.
