Zen-tangle Drawing with Shannon on Wednesday April 1st from 6-8pm. Join Shannon as she shares how drawing simple patterns can reduce stress and improve focus. This 2 hour workshop includes some guided relaxation and art making - it will leave you feeling grounded, connected to your creativity and more relaxed to tackle the week! There is something about this time of year that makes me pause to appreciate. I find myself so appreciative and grateful to be able to cultivate and curate this creative community space. I feel so grateful for everyone who has set foot in my doors and those that keep coming back! I’m so grateful for those that go out of limbs to try a class or just pop by for an open studio. Thank you for your trust and your creativity!

On International Women’s Day, I want to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the incredible and brilliant women I have had the privilege of working with and collaborating alongside. Your passion, insight, creativity, talents and support has meant so much to me and to so many. I’m grateful to learn from you and to have worked with you. You inspire, energize, and care so deeply for others. I’m grateful to know each one of you!
A note of appreciation for all the women who attend events, workshops and classes and show you for their creativity in community. I’m so grateful for your support but even more grateful for your trust! It is an absolute pleasure creating opportunities for women to access their creativity. Holding space and observing your transformations and connection to your passion and creativity is such an honor of mine. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you! 💗

The power of the bilateral drawing just gets me every time. What is bilateral drawing? It’s using both hands to draw; sometimes in a pattern but not always. Sometimes having eyes closed but not always.
At Heart Space we love to use it as a way of regulating, going inward, releasing tension, calming nerves and feeling a rush of the good vibes.
There is so much science behind why this practice works. It is a bilateral stimulation which engages both hemispheres of the brain to support reconnection, regulation and neuroplasticity.
Curious to try it? All you need is a large paper and either two markers, two pastels or two crayons. If you do it, tag us! We love seeing bilateral drawings in the wild!

Open Studio Tuesday and Sunday! Join Nikki from 6-8pm on Tuesday or Maddie from 9-11am, for a little creative respite from all the busyness of life. We strongly believe that time spent with your ✨c r e a t i v i t y ✨is time well spent. Come as you are and explore what we have!
These open studios are a pay what you can structure which means that the focus is more on building community and offering space for healing and connection as we continue to resist, support our immigrant neighbors and spread love. Register ahead or drop in. We can’t wait to see you in the studio.
