LIP FILLER AFTER CARE — Read Before You Pout
Beautiful lips don’t happen by accident. Aftercare is the secret to smooth, hydrated, and perfectly healed results that you’re proud to show off.
Hi, I’m Sasha — Nurse Practitioner at Eternal Beauty & Wellness Clinic. If you’ve just received lip filler, here’s how to protect your investment and ensure the best healing process:
• Swelling, tenderness, and unevenness are normal the first few days — full healing takes about two weeks.
• Use gentle icing for comfort during the first 24 hours.
• Arnica or Zyrtec can help with bruising and swelling. Tylenol is okay for soreness — avoid alcohol and blood thinners for 24 hours unless medically required.
• Avoid strenuous exercise, heat, hot tubs, or sauna for the first 48 hours. Sleep elevated and avoid putting pressure on your lips.
• No lipstick for 24 hours — a clear gloss only.
• If you are prone to cold sores, be sure to take your antiviral as prescribed.
• Planning for an event? Schedule fillers at least two weeks ahead for optimal healing.
• Maintenance varies — most fillers last 9–18 months depending on the product and your goals.
Emergency signs — such as severe pain, pale or bluish skin, coolness, numbness, mottling, or blistering — must be evaluated right away. We are here for you.
