Ergonomics is sometimes overlooked when thinking about potential hazards that exist in the workplace. This is because injuries caused by poor ergonomics are not as obvious as injuries caused from falls or chemicals.

The ultimate goal of practicing good ergonomics in the workplace is to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), including carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, strained muscles, and ruptured discs, to name a few.

MSDs resulting from poorly designed workstations can lead to reduced productivity, missed time, loss of income, increased insurance claims, and pain and suffering that impacts both workers and their families.

OMNI can help with a variety of ergonomic-related claims - including preventative and proactive! In some cases, these assessments can even be done via video.

OMNI offers a variety of job analysis products to fit each employer’s needs! We're here to assist in all your Job Analysis needs:

🌟On-site Job Analysis – an occupational therapist who specializes in ergonomic consulting will come on-site to analyze any type of job to quantify physical demands. Using a variety of tools, we will determine the strength and endurance needed to perform the job demands. This is documented on an easy to read template. Photos and videos can also be included. This document can be provided to new employees to make them aware of job demands, and to employers to identify light duty work and areas for job modifications. It can also be provided to therapists and physicians who are treating work related injuries and in litigation to truly quantify necessary work tasks.

🌟Ergonomic Assessments – this is an on-site assessment done for the purpose of making ergonomic changes or recommendations to a work area or process. Utilizing the same tools as above, we determine high risk positions or job activities and provide practical solutions and potential ergonomic strategies or equipment to make the job easier. This is documented on an easy-to-read template and photos can also be included.

🌟Telehealth Ergonomic Assessments - this is an assessment completed on a video platform to assess an office space in the home or workplace setting to make ergonomic changes or recommendations. This is documented on an easy-to-read template and photos can also be included.
