The position of your pelvis matters.
- If your p***c bone is more oriented toward the floor you’ll get more glute max and glute med posterior fibers,
- If your p***c bone is more oriented toward the ceiling you’ll get more glute med anterior fibers,
- If your bottom waist is more lifted away from the reformer you’ll get more glute max and glute med posterior fibers,
- If your bottom waist is on the reformer you’ll get more glute med anterior fibers and adductor
The next time you are using the jump board in your pilates class take a second to think about how you are using your pelvis. Is it doing what you want it to do and achieve your goal? Choose wisely.
