“Gender-affirming care saves lives. Our beloved trans community is an integral part of our society, and trans children deserve to become trans adults. The federal government’s abuse of power and overreach into private medical decisions is a concerted effort to eliminate trans people from public life. This inhumane targeting of our children—using executive orders, funding threats, and harassment of hospitals and doctors as political leverage—is a violation of human decency. Shame on this administration for wagering the lives of our nation’s youth for political gain. When our young children tell us who they are, we are obligated to listen to them, love them, and support them in their journey. In Minnesota our laws protect our trans youth, their families, and the medical doctors and practitioners who provide health care to them."

The hospital stated that gender-affirming care is a life-saving treatment, but due to federal pressure, staff has chosen to temporarily suspend it.

Our first session of the Health & Wellness, Together Seminar Series was last Sunday and we packed four different types of outreach kits:

Wound Care Kits: went to community groups providing wound care and distribution (such as the Neighborhood Health Source and Freedom Street Health)

Community Care Kits: went home with guests to hand out in the community

Menstrual and Dental Hygiene Kits: stayed at the Pride Cultural Arts Center for their Rainbow Wardrobe

Hey All!

Next Community Training day will be Sunday, 3/23 at 1PM!

Location is: Twin Cities Pride Cultural Arts Center // 1201 Harmon Place #4.

This month we'll have Atlas Defense coming in to share self defense tools and important info around knowing your rights. Additionally there will be some basic first aid training from EQUIP: Equity Quality Unity Inclusivity Progress

Come be in community and build those skills, knowledge is a powerful thing and we're so excited to be able to bring together some amazing people with some incredible knowledge to share with you all. Hope to see ya there 😊
