Children’s Minnesota and Washburn Center for Children are expanding our partnership to help address extended emergency department (ED) stays for youth facing mental health crises. The new program will connect families faster to needed support, aiming to reduce the time patients and families are spending in the ED and help kick-start the healing journey sooner.

All locations of Washburn Center for Children and all therapeutic classrooms are closed on Thursday, November 27. We will resume all services tomorrow, November 28.

Minnesota’s kids need a community who responds to their mental health needs. Greater Twin Cities United Way, serving as an intermediary for Otto Bremer Trust, is helping answer the call.

United Way announced major support from Otto Bremer Community Responsive Fund was released to Washburn Center for Children’s mission to nurture every child and family’s well-being and full potential through transformative mental health care. This move comes as our state and nation experience massive increases in mental health needs, across all age groups.
