Karma is often misunderstood.
In pop culture, it’s reduced to a kind of cosmic scoreboard: do good, get good; do bad, get bad.

But in yoga, karma simply means action—every choice you make, every word you speak, every thought you follow.

These actions leave subtle impressions (samskaras) in the mind, which, over time, shape how you see the world, how you respond to it, and who you become.

This is the law of karma: not punishment or reward, but a continuous, unfolding cycle of cause and effect.

Yoga asks us to be aware of not just what we do—but how we do it.
The Bhagavad Gītā offers this teaching:

“yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam”
Yoga is skill in action. (2.50)

Skillful action means choosing with awareness.
Acting from clarity, not compulsion.
Showing up with intention—and letting go of the outcome.

This is the path of nishkāma karma—taking action without attachment to results.
Not as inaction, but as a radical kind of freedom.

Yoga is more than actions on your mat. It’s how you live your life.

When practicing Paschimottanasana, it's important to maintain the right posture to avoid injury and maximize benefits. The incorrect version shows the back rounded and legs not fully engaged, which reduces the stretch’s effectiveness. On the other hand, properly engaging the legs, keeping the spine long, and folding forward helps stretch the hamstrings and back while improving flexibility.

Focusing on lengthening the spine as you hinge at the hips will help you reach a deeper stretch without compromising your form. If you’re a beginner, it’s okay to use props like blocks or a strap to assist with the forward fold. The key is to avoid collapsing the chest and to ensure your legs stay actively engaged throughout the stretch.

With consistency and focus on form, Paschimottanasana will enhance flexibility in the lower back and legs while also calming the mind. 🌸🧘‍♀️

Google offers a rare and compassionate policy: if an employee passes away, their spouse continues to receive half of their salary for 10 years, and their children receive monthly support until they turn 19.

This approach acknowledges that financial stability during grief can make a profound difference for families facing loss. It’s an example of how companies can extend care beyond the workplace, recognizing the human side of their employees’ lives.

Such policies remind us that well-being is not just about individual health, but also the security and support we can provide to our loved ones. If more workplaces adopted this kind of approach, how different would our work culture be? 🏢💼

You don’t need to run a marathon to see benefits. Just a simple walk can lower stress and enhance overall health.

Start with a brisk 10-minute walk and increase as you go. Feel free to share your walking goals or favorite walking routes with the community! 🚶‍♀️🌟
