Caring for your Po 🤍
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Po is the corporal soul - the aspect of the spirit that is fully embodied.
It lives in the Lungs and is expressed through breath, sensation, instinct, and the body’s ability to let go. 💨
When the Po is supported, you feel present in your body.
Breath moves with ease.
Boundaries are clear and responsive.
When Lung Qi is strained, the body may hold grief, tension, or shallow breathing - even when the mind wants to move on. This is not a mindset issue. It is a body-level experience.
Supporting the Po does not require force or fixing.
It asks for simple, consistent care.
Practical ways to care for your Po:
✧ Slow your breathing, especially lengthening the exhale
✧ Spend time outdoors, where Lung Qi naturally restores
✧ Gently open the chest and ribs with walking or stretching
✧ Choose warm, nourishing foods that are easy to receive
✧ Allow grief to move through without rushing it away
Sovereignty begins here.
Not in thinking harder, but in listening more closely.
Your breath is where your body remembers how to trust itself.
What does your breath need today? 🫶🏼
