Vail Communities Community-based mental health recovery and healthy independent living Vail Communities is a non-profit organization based in Hopkins, Minnesota.

Where We Are . . .
• Minneapolis Uptown (36th & Hennepin)
• Hopkins Downtown and Admin Offices (9th Avenue off Main St.) The agency was founded in 1981 to provide community-based recovery services for adults with serious mental illnesses, and named after mental health pioneer Dr. David Vail. Vail Communities currently operates Clubhouse Community Support Programs in Hopkins and Ramsey County (St. Paul) and Minneapolis, provides extensive Case Management services, and runs numerous site-based and collaborative programs with community partners. Vail Communities unique person-centered, recovery-oriented approach to services is based on the internationally acclaimed Clubhouse Model.

As we support our Members and surrounding communities, our Clubhouses are in need of the following items:

-Shelf-stable foods that do not need to be heated or cooked (bread, peanut butter, jelly, etc.)
-Fresh fruits and vegetables
-Gloves and mittens
-Metro bus passes (can be purchased at Cub Foods or any Metro Transit Station)
-Cub gift cards for groceries

Drop-off locations:

-Hopkins Clubhouse: 15 9th Ave. S. Hopkins, MN 55343
-Uptown Clubhouse: 1412 W. 36th St. Minneapolis, MN 55408 *Uptown’s pantry has a fridge so donations of milk, ground beef, butter, etc. are also welcomed.*
-Ramsey Clubhouse: 285 Dale St. N., St. Paul, MN 55103

It's important that despite the cold weather and other challenges winter presents, we continue to get out and spend time with others.

In 2025, our Targeted Case Management team and Integrated Partnerships team served over 1,400 individuals, connecting them with essential resources and support. A few highlights from the year include:

✔ Signed a contract with Ramsey County to provide case management services there.

✔ Launched a new on-call care coordination program with North Memorial Health, connecting with patients early on to provide support.

✔ Trained in and implemented the LEAP (Listen, Empathize, Agree, & Partner) Model to improve the client/case manager experience.

And SO much more! Thank you to our wonderful program staff, community partners, and clients. We’re excited to see what 2026 brings as we expand services in Ramsey, deepen community partnerships, and continue to meet clients and families where they are at!

In 2025, our Housing programs served over 275 individuals and families, connecting them to safe, secure, and stable housing. This year, some highlights include:

🏠Expanded our services and landlord partnerships to serve families, meeting the need for more family-friendly housing.

🏠Attended the National Conference on Ending Homelessness in D.C.

🏠Our Rapid Rehousing Program alone served over 60 households, providing long-term stability and housing supports.

And SO much more! Thank you to our incredible Housing staff, clients, and everyone who helps us meet this critical need in the community!
