This year for Black Maternal Health Week we are focusing on how community is care.
Pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood are not meant to be navigated alone.
Trusted circles of friends, family, and community are not just meaningful - they are essential. These relationships hold us through the in-between moments: the questions, the healing, the long nights, and the quiet victories.
Support can look like a friend checking in, someone sitting beside you, sharing stories, bringing a meal, or simply reminding you that you are not alone. These acts of care strengthen mental health, ease the weight of transition, and help families move through perinatal seasons with more steadiness and connection.
When we invest in community, we invest in wellness. When we show up for one another, we create wellness throughout our communities.
