Most Hennepin County offices and departments, including libraries and license service centers, are closed Thursday, January 1 for the holiday.
Libraries are also closed Wednesday, December 31 at 5 pm.

Normal business hours will fully resume Friday, January 2.

A Wind Advisory has been issued for Hennepin County from 12 pm (noon) until 6 pm December 18th . Winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Driving maybe difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Hennepin County from 9 am until 9 pm December 18th. A combination of winds gusting 40 to 50 mph, low visibility in falling snow, and flash freeze conditions leading to icy roads and surfaces. Slow down and use caution while traveling.
