CUHCC strives to be a premiere education site which leads in team-based care, and centers on person-family-community experience.

CUHCC provides medical care, dental care, mental health care, legal, advocacy for domestic abuse and sexual assault, and more Community-University Health Care Center (CUHCC) opened its doors in 1966 to provide primary care services to children and low income families in South Minneapolis. CUHCC is a federally qualified health center and also a department within the University of Minnesota's Academic Health Center. The clinic offers medical, dental, mental health, advocacy, legal, and other programs. CUHCC serves nearly 11,000 patients a year through over 55,000 visits annually. The patient population comes from over 12 different racial and ethnic groups that span five continents. At CUHCC we're transforming urban health care and educating the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Our countdown to construction continues! 🚧🛠️ Starting next week patients will begin parking in our new lot on the south side of the building, accessible through 16th ave. We're excited to continue serving patients in our current space as we build for the future.

Last week, CUHCC staff joined community health centers from across the state at the Minnesota Association of Community Health Centers - MNACHC Day on the Hill.

Our team met with Rep Xp Lee - MN House 34B, State Rep. Huldah Momanyi Hiltsley, and Senator Liz Boldon to talk about the impact of community health centers and how CUHCC’s whole-person care model helps patients access medical, dental, mental health, and supportive services in one place.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share how investments in community health centers help expand access to care across Minnesota.
