“I think the main thing for me is "keeping on keeping on." After I lost the first 30 lbs or so, I had so MUCH more energy! Just the ability to go up stairs at church without being winded was a major change. The saying "Small Changes Big Results" resonated with me. It was taking small steps one at a time; not trying to change everything at once. I stopped drinking soda, cut out sweets during the holidays last year and ate smaller, healthier portions. Coach Mia was very good and encouraging. I don't do jumping jacks but I can still move and do a "semi" jumping jack. Meet Real Appeal® coach Mel!

What I love about being a health coach: I'm passionate about encouraging people to experience the joy of living a healthy life.

Background: I’m a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

My favorite tip to live a healthy lifestyle: It starts with mindset and believing in yourself. Anything is possible! Take healthy positive actions that support the vision you hold for your life.

If I could eat only one healthy snack for the rest of my life, it’d be: Blueberries with almonds and a small piece of dark chocolate or roasted sweet potatoes with rosemary and pecans.

My favorite way to move is: Strength training, yoga and walking.

The mantra I live by: Do what makes you happy.
