When we can settle into our body, our bones, and slow down we can deeply feel and that is our compass to what brings us truly alive. We are alive when we can feel our body awaken to the passion and joy and release the armor and holding we are used.

Many times when we are stuck in pain or a mental fear loop we are hyper focusing on our pain or our current state. We get stuck like we can’t switch gears. We can’t move forward. We even feel like we are going backwards.

One thing that can really help you get out is committing to what you truly want. Like dangly a carrot of your future in front of you and doing at least one small change that’s going to steer you one step or many in that direction.

And you’d be surprised the shifts that happen in your pain, mind, and life because of these small committed steps that are actually quite big. Don’t underestimate how one little change can completely change your whole trajectory, get you out of your stuckness and help you build confidence in yourself.

Today was the first day I saw my son smile in a few days because he’s been so sick. When I saw him smile I lost it and started crying.

It’s the absolute worst thing to see your child so sick. And I think I didn’t realize until today how much stress and overwhelm it has been causing me until he smiled I knew he must finally be getting better. As if the first time I took an exhale.

Motherhood has been the most humbling, heart expanding, honorable, hard, but most amazing journey and it keeps getting more and more astonishing as my little man grows.

Wishing everyone love and health during this season of colds and endless sicknesses going around. Oof. It’s been real and I’m kind of over it. 💛

3 essentials for healing:

Curiosity so that you can go at it with a mindset of learning more about yourself and seeing it as an adventure. When we switch the brain to this it helps the survival mode or protector parts put down their swords and relax.

Compassion: we need to look at ourselves like we are a precious child that have needs that didn’t get met that led us to coping patterns, behaviors, and traits that helped us meet those needs but maybe aren’t serving us anymore and we don’t like about ourselves. We need to be compassionate that we are doing these frustrating things like self sabotaging or pushing people away for a reason. Something happened to you or didn’t happen that caused you to do the finds you do now. Give them a hug.

Trust: have deep trust that what is meant to come forward in this moment to heal will. You don’t need to heal everything at once. Ask your guides, universe, god to show you whatever it is right now you need to heal. Have trust that whatever comes up you’re ready for even if it may feel a little scary. And cultivate struts in yourself that you can handle it. Slowly build your capacity to sit with the feelings and emotions that come up in your day or when you intentionally sit let them. Give them your attention. You will then cultivate trust in yourself too and that’s a lot of healing right there

About Emily

The intention of my practice comes from my deep belief and truth that everyone has the wisdom within themselves to heal and feel whole. My intent is to always give and empower from a place of great love and hold space for everyone to awaken to their own innate wisdom within. Blending my studies in earth-based medicine, Reiki, Healing Touch, yoga (Classic, Hatha, Ayurveda, Ta**ra adn Therapeutic), Thai Bodywork and holstic nursing, I bring them all into my practice as well as with my gifts of intuition in order to carry forth this intention.

My most significant teachers of whom I owe so much gratitude for blessing me with their wisdom on my path to this work include, Nicole Nardone, Tanya Boigenzahn (Devanadi Yoga), Pichet Boonthumme (Thai bodywork/massage-Thailand), Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peal (Therapeutic Yoga), Metropolitan State University, and those of which I feel most closely connected to: Mother Earth, my spirits, guides, loved ones, and animals.
