Outfitting Aid

Outfitting Aid We get quality outdoor equipment into the hands of those who work professionally or volunteer in the fields of international aid work.

Outfitting Aid is pretty much what the title says. We seek to get quality outdoor equipment into the hands of those individuals who either work professionally or volunteer in the fields of international relief/development/aid work. Our philosophy is simple, better equipment saves lives. If an aid worker has a great pair of shoes, they can stand on their feet longer handing out food packets during a famine in Africa. If a surgeon in Port Au Prince has a quality headlamp they can continue on with surgery after the power goes out for the fifth time. If a community health worker in India has a solar charger for their laptop, they can type their reports in the field. The list goes on and on, the equipment that most people use for weekend getaways is exactly what these professionals need to complete their everyday work. The more aid workers that we can outfit the more lives we save. We seek to gather donations in the form of product and money from companies that make fantastic equipment. In return we offer ‘high resolutions’ photos of your product in the field, testimonials from professionals that use the equipment daily, and up to date reporting on just how much of a net impact your equipment is making around the world. Be able to say how many lives your backpack has saved! We also harness the power of this wide network of professionals to compile a list of the best and worst equipment that our testers have used in the field. So when you are about to head to a far flung land of poverty to volunteer you’ll know exactly what equipment to take. And if hiking in a state park is more your cup of tea, then you’ll know exactly how to charge you GPS. We hope that you find our work both inspiring and helpful as you plan your adventures of both work and play.
