Dear patients and friends,
This is a message I’ve taken my time with.
Uptown Dermatology was never just a clinic to me. It was something I built with intention, with care, and with a deep commitment to doing dermatology the right way — thoughtful, thorough, and centered on the person in front of me.
Over the years, it became so much more than I imagined. It became a place of connection, trust, and shared stories. I’ve had the privilege of caring for you through everything from routine visits to some of life’s more vulnerable moments — and that is something I will never take lightly.
At the heart of all of it has been you.
Whether you came once or stayed with me for years, whether you referred a friend, trusted me with your care, or simply showed up — you were part of what made this practice meaningful. Your trust is something I have always held with the utmost respect.
As life has evolved, I’ve found myself in a season of significant transition — both personally and professionally. With that has come the difficult but clear decision to close Uptown Dermatology and bring this chapter to a close.
While this chapter is ending, my work in medicine is not. I will continue caring for patients in new ways, including through CareBahamas — a nonprofit dedicated to delivering dermatologic care throughout The Bahamas. The mission is simple but meaningful: to expand access, provide thoughtful, high-quality care, and reinvest every bit of support back into serving patients and communities across the islands.
Follow and support the adventure at CareBahamas.org.
Thank you for trusting me.
Thank you for allowing me into your lives.
Thank you for being part of something that meant so much to me.
I carry that with me into whatever comes next.
With deep appreciation,
Jaime Davis MD FAAD
