🎉 New Year’s plot twist! 🎉

At a New Year’s Eve party, these parents jokingly told their family that her water had broken… Everyone laughed and the party went on.
Two hours later….surprise! It actually did! 💥

Sweet baby Myles made his grand entrance in the wee hours of January 2nd, clearly in on the joke the whole time! 💙

Welcome to the world, little one. You already know how to make an entrance! ✨

The birth stool is an accessible, comfortable and productive tool used in birth. It is a U-shaped seat that is low to the ground. Its U-shape (similar to a toilet seat) creates an opening for the midwife to assist the birthing person with pushing, handing baby to the birthing person, and delivery of the placenta.

In this photo, you can see that the birthing person is using a birth sling, birth stool, and yoga block to create comfortable positioning for delivering the baby. There is also a light and mirror so you can watch baby make their way into the world!

Everyone has their own customization for what birthing looks like. Freedom to move, freedom to push.

Did you use a birth stool at your birth?
