Happy Thoughtful Thursday!

It's true! We take VBAC's!

How it works:

All of your prenatal care, labs, and ultrasound swill be at the birth center. Then, when it comes time for your labor and delivery, our team meets you at the hospital and facilitates your birth.

We are with you all the way!

These freezing temps makes skin to skin in an herbal bath sound quite cozy! ❄

Herbal baths can be shared between you and your little one as a way to bond, connect and initiate breastfeeding. Skin to skin is also incredibly beneficial for baby's adjustment outside the womb- regulating their temperature, heart rate and breathing!

For parents, skin to skin helps produce oxytocin! Oxytocin is vital in postpartum healing as it helps the uterus begin to contract, this is important to prevent excessive bleeding (hemorrhage).

Do you have any notable skin to skin moments? Maybe in your herbal bath?

Welcome back for another installment of Face of the Fam Friday! ✨

Meet Lauren πŸ‘‹

1) What is your role?

Clinic Nurse, Birth Assistant, and soon-to-be Lactation Consultant.

2) What is something fun or interesting about you?

I spent the last year living in Australia, where I worked as a nurse and as a bartender. I was fortunate to visit all six states, stand up on a surfboard, and pet many cute marsupials!

3) What is your favorite tool for labor/birth support?

Hands! If the birthing person consents to your touch, I find that gentle touch and firm pressure (i.e., counter pressure, double hip squeeze) are the most effective labor comfort measures.
