Big news from AFS as we share our gratitude for an incredible leader.

After eight years as Executive Director and more than a decade serving the foregut community, Kate Freeman is retiring on December 19.

As a founding member of AFS and a longtime leader, Kate helped build this Society from the ground up and guided its growth with steady leadership, care, and vision. As she retires, we’re grateful for her years of dedication and wish her nothing but the best in this next chapter.

Thank you, Kate, for your leadership, your steady presence, and the lasting impact you’ve made on AFS. Wishing you a well-earned retirement filled with new adventures ahead!

Is to advocate personalized treatment strategies for patients with foregut disease through a collaborative partnership across disciplines.
