Building the best possible care for our patients requires heavy lifting – in our case more than 10 stories high. Two giant tower cranes moved steel, concrete and other building materials for constructing our new Richard M. Schulze Surgical and Critical Care Center.

As we continue with interior construction and gear up for our first patients in fall 2026, both cranes are now gone from the campus.

Surgical Operations Manager Kyle Dye recently toured the sterile supply areas in the new Richard M. Schulze Surgical and Critical Care Center.

These spaces feature smart storage cabinets designed to keep surgical instruments organized and ready — so our teams can focus on what matters most: patient care.

Opening fall 2026, this state-of-the-art building will include 30 advanced operating rooms to support the highest level of surgical excellence.

We’re excited to share a sneak peek of the outpatient pharmacy in our new Richard M. Schulze Surgical and Critical Care Center — located just steps from the main lobby for easy access.

With over 3,500 square feet of space, the pharmacy will feature private consultation areas where patients can meet with pharmacists to support their care coordination.

Pharmacy Manager Marcus Arneson and Supervisor Ben Reynolds recently toured the space where patients and guests will be able to pick up medications and get the guidance they need to use them safely and effectively.

The fifth level rooftop garden we’re building on the Richard M. Schulze Surgical and Critical Care Center required more than 1,221 cubic yards of soil blown into place from a blower truck.

Ready for planting the trees and shrubs that patients and guests can enjoy when the building opens in fall 2026.
