Hey Lotus Fam,

Rowan Emmanuel and I have been brewing this passively for a couple years and have finally moved intention into action. We present to you 🌊Water for the Womb🌊. This is a collab with Rowan Emmanuel Consulting and Lotus Birth & BodyWorks.

🌊 This will be 4 series offering of family, parent and childbirth education that offers herbal remedies and full spectrum reproductive teachings aligned with the four elements of Naturw. We will be partnering with other amazing healers, birthworkers and space holders for future topics! Our first workshop: 🌊Water for the Womb 🌊 will be a 2hr in person postpartum basics course. STRICT COVID PRECAUTIONS WILL BE FOLLOWED. Please share far and wide. Our first offering will be Tuesday August 2nd from 6-8pm. We will also have another workshop on Sunday September 11th from 2-4pm. If you have any friends, family or clients that are expecting and are interested in taking the course please let us know. If there are folks that are wanting to complete the course virtually due to COVID exposure please message us and we will collaborate on getting you registered for the course.

Meet your speakers! Introducing Rochelle Vincent (she/her).

Rochelle is the owner and practitioner at Lotus Birth & BodyWorks in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is a Certified Birth Doula and has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Public Health from St. Catherine University.

At Lotus Birth & BodyWorks, she practices as a Full Spectrum Birth and Bodyworker that aims to provide high quality, compassionate care, that centers the experiences of BIPOC folx.

Rochelle will be joining us on Friday, April 23rd at 4:00PM (PT) / 7:00PM (ET) for “Reclaiming Wellness: Birthwork,” where we will discuss the ways community-centered practices prioritize the integral wellness of child-bearers, children, and community—and the colonial harm they counter.

Check out this video of her dancing in labor. Your labor is YOUR labor and story. It can look and feel however you want (within reasonable safety parameters). Don't ask/or say if my provider or nurse will let me do XYZ thing. Plan ahead and setup the space with the expectation and energy of, I WILL be dancing, eating, sitting with family during my labor to your providers. It's your body, birth story, and labor. Dancing in labor can help to create rhythm, space, relief, and laughter. We'll definitely be twerking in labor....if wanted. Eat that broth that you packed, slurp that honey stick!!! Do what you need in labor to feel held and comfortable! Connect with local labor companions and doulas for tips on how to create an ideal space for you and your family!
