“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” -Melody Beattie - https://mailchi.mp/yessyogastudio/cup-full-of-gratitude-body-full-of-health-r4cpvganin

This Scorpio New Moon Stellium (Nov 18-20) is full of deep somatic and emotional experiences to elevate our experience of being human to exist beyond and outside of the Mind. You may feel called to rest and release more. You may feel energized to engage in shadow-work or explore the inward-gazing parts of yourself. You may even feel a little confused or disorganized, as your Mind has been asked to take a break. This Scorpio New Moon Stellium blends the sacral (orange) and throat (blue) chakras. Call to speak your deepest truth(s)!

A couple of weeks ago, Joyce and I attended a weekend-long workshop on the therapeutic uses of sound. My main takeaway is that everything is sound, because everything is vibration, and so when we partner with intentional sound, we enter the universe’s healing and releasing flow. The entire workshop was incredibly inspirational and gave me many ideas on how to elevate our sound bath offerings. I hope you’ll join me for a bath of sound vibrations soon. See below for 2 upcoming opportunities.

We have 4 spots left for the Forgive & Release: Ho’oponopono Sound Bath + Breathwork w/ Lulu Song and Kristen Wertenberger. Join us for this incredible event on Sunday, November 16th from 2-3:30 pm. The event’s exchange is $40 or $75/ two people
.
Step into a deeply healing experience where sound, breath, and intention converge. In this session, we combine the transformative vibrations of a sound bath with emotional release breathwork, guiding you to release stored tension, stress, and emotional blocks.
The theme of Ho’oponopono, an ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness, invites you to gently reconnect—with yourself, others, and the energies around you. Through intention, breath, and sound, you’ll create space to acknowledge, release, and heal what no longer serves you.
This session is perfect for anyone who is ready to:
-Let go of past hurts and emotional baggage
-Restore balance in body, mind, and heart
-Cultivate self-forgiveness and compassion
-Experience deep relaxation and nervous system regulation
Whether you’re new to breathwork or a seasoned practitioner, this session offers a safe, supportive space to breathe, release, and rejuvenate.

We thrilled to welcome back Tatum for Yoga and Acupuncture. Meet us at Yess this Sunday, November 9th | 7-8:30 pm | $40 or $75/ two people. Link in bio to sign up.

Yoga and acupuncture are a match made in the chillest of heavens. Whether you’re new to acupuncture, yoga or you love them both, this is an accessible and affordable way to combine these two healing modalities at once, each month at Yess Yoga.

This 90-minute trauma-informed yoga class will begin with a slow flow / yin yoga practice and conclude with an extended savasana needle nap. Together, the two complementary modalities will provide an opportunity for folks to relax and find balance. Tatum Fjerstad, a yoga teacher and licensed acupuncturist, will be leading the yoga and providing the acupuncture. All levels are welcome.

Masks are optional during yoga and required during the acupuncture portion.

This event will be split into three parts: time to discuss the current astrology, time to lay down and breathe together, and time after the breathing to share witness. No previous breathwork experience necessary. Wear comfy clothes, bring a yoga mat, an eye covering (mats and other props are also available onsite to borrow if needed!)

Help us welcome Sofia Padilla to Yess! We are thrilled to collaborate with Sofia on Thursdays at 4:30 pm for a gentle yoga class starting this week. Check out her bio below and more importantly visit her with a warm embrace this week.
A lifetime dedication to creative movement and expression defines Sofía Padilla’s practice. Starting her journey in 2005 to complement her intensive Theater Training, she found an authentic path to self-discovery and teaching.

Sofía is a graduate of the 200-hour Teacher Training at Solstice Yoga Center in Oaxaca, Mexico (2012), where she spent thirteen years immersed in yoga leadership. As a foundational teacher at Solstice, she specialized in Restorative Yoga teaching daily classes and being a key facilitator for numerous Teacher Trainings, Yacep’s and retreats.

Now based in the Twin Cities, Sofía beautifully blends her vocations: she works as a professional puppeteer and offers deeply grounding Gentle Flow Yoga classes. Her theatrical background informs her presence, ensuring classes are accessible, engaging, and welcoming to all, available in both English and Spanish.
In her free time you might find Sofía biking around the city and raising her beautiful son.
