I am on the back end of suffering from Functional Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. It’s no damn joke. I lost all my upper body strength AND it fricking hurts!! My left shoulder was compressed. I’m so pleased with Dr Clary’s work on my shoulder. 🙏🏼I have been dedicated to fixing it. My sage advise please don’t take your strength for granted. Gotta fight for it sometimes. It’s cool on the Left now I have more range in shoulder flexion than my Right now. How have I been getting strong? I haven’t done it by myself. Thanks to many spring/summer pilates with , a visit with one of the founders of , and weekly visits with at and my own stubbornness, determination and consistency moving in the right direction. Guess what? All non conventional ways of healing...

I spy with my little eye Lola the mutt amongst my favorite props. If you’ve taken my classes before you know I dig the props! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 I have the or , (although I prefer a medium hard roller) inflatable ball set on squishy and variety of trigger point and myofascial release balls, my beat up , step-stools of various heights, cushy , 1/2 foam roller, , not pictured is a 24” closet rod. Things to use while at home, but I tell you this about doing pilates from home ..I prefer IN PERSON pilates classes and lessons for myself as well as teaching them by far-hands down! I’ll Zoom around with my classes for now, but man I miss being around a group in person. I learn and connect from clients and teachers alike by being in proximity to them. This social distancing is testing my innate primate needs of a . 🦍🦧🐵

When you can’t meet the forces or gravity easily these props bring ease of gravity to you! No sense forcing the force!✌🏼❤️ 9.8 meters squared! 🤟🏼🤓Stay tuned for pilates uses for these items...

Weee! Who needs a on the when you don’t have one. I love jumpboard, but not for an hour of jumping maybe 15-20 minutes-tops. This is really interesting to see how I pretty much jump with my right leg only. My left appears to be dragged up by the rest of my body. Can’t accelerate unless you are able to decelerate well. One of the beauties of the jumpboard is the quiet landings. It’s also a great way to do ..feet are like springs...I see all kinds of weird stuff with lefty and I know I have lack of connection to my Left Biceps Femoris and probably hip flexors and Glutes too ...Hint: . Injury is fun! ;)

The Neighborhood. Grew up here..Lived in this area 17 yrs. . The anguish is palpable..so is the love. People are done. There really is a limit to what one person, family, friends, community, city, state, country, world and race can take. The limit has been met.

Behold!!! The Parasympathetic-ENATOR...🤩🌈🌟Why do I lay on this? Because it’s comfortable. This blue friend holds me up as gravity pushes down. My other friend is the floor. It’s like a big plumb line hand 🖐 holding me up. I can relax into the ground. It’s also nice to be guided through a session using a ball like this ..seek out a session with me!! You need however long that you need in terms of time spent down regulating your nervous system breathing and doing exercises. It’s in charge, not your ego. Make peace with that. There’s no rush, but there’s no time to waste either.

Symmetrically Asymmetrical. My favorite! Aren’t hands cool with all their mechanoreceptive nerve cell endings to aide with our spatial positioning to gravity. It’s our senses that speak to our brain to say “hey-ay you’re in “this” relationship to gravity. When we don’t have to fight gravity so much our systems can be more at ease and efficiently live the which I believe is a state. The last pic is me with duct tape on my L injured hand. The side with scars and disruption to that flow. Isometric loading and breathing, tactile tape to hold down more connections. From what I’ve learned you’re only as strong as your weakest area can hold a load without pain and then begin to challenge it. The good news is your body doesn’t let you give up. The art is striking the right balance and recipe for you. Thanks hands, feet, eyes, ears, noses, face and mouth cool!

Heading to CA in January to attend an Intergrated Kinetic Neurology course. The online courses of the Cerebellum, Vestibular System and Concussions are amazing and highly informative! I am excited to learn new techniques that I know will compliment all the training I have had with NKT and Pilates and particularly for the more complex problems people experience after a whiplash, head injury from a accident/fall or sports related head injury. Move better, feel better and live better!
