Our Story

Emergency Care Consultants (ECC) started their scribe program in 2006 as the first scribe program in the Midwest. During the program’s lifetime ECC has started numerous scribe programs throughout the Midwest. As of today, they provide scribe services to emergency departments (ranging from urban to rural), outpatient clinics, and inpatient hospital settings around the Twin Cities, MN. ECC aims to provide their scribes with the richest opportunity to explore the different areas of medicine before they attend a health professional school.

As an ECC Medical Scribe, you will have the ability to work side-by-side with physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, as well as numerous other medical staff. You will learn how to document a chart, master medical terminology, learn how to read lab values and radiology imaging, watch numerous patient encounters, and so much more. ECC also provide opportunities outside of scribing including education sessions, practice interviews, volunteer and leadership opportunities, and social events.
