This is a gentle reminder that it is okay to take a break.
You may be doing too much, but feel like you're not doing enough.
You may be hours deep into a project or task, but feel like you're not getting anywhere.
You may be doom scrolling on your phone and feel bad for "wasting" your time and not getting other things done.
Whatever you have been doing, encourage yourself to step away for a moment or two and take a little breather.
Taking breaks has many benefits including:
1. Boosts your mental and physical health
2. Helps prevent burnout
3. Increases your ability to focus and pay attention
4. Prevents muscle and eye strain
5. Reduces stress
6. Increases motivation
8. Increases productivity
9. Increases creativity
10. Recharges your brain
Even if you think you don't need or don't deserve a break, do it anyways. In fact, take several breaks throughout the day. Your brain and body will thank you!
