As bodyworkers and healers, it’s often our job to look for ways we can support, open, adjust, and realign ways of being, ways of functioning, and ways of existing with health in mind. To do this, we honor our instincts, our intuition, and the knowledge passed down to us. As we look towards re-opening our practices, we must continue to honor this same instinct, intuition, and knowledge as we do when we are practicing. Feel free to take a deep breath and read that again. We have a responsibility to our clients, our communities, and ourselves to not only trust what healing needs to be done, but when and how. This responsibility is no different than it was before we were faced with a global pandemic, the difference is that now instead of being called to act outwardly, we have been called to wait and adjust.
Grateful to have the opportunity to think and reflect with Alejandra (Tobar Alatriz) of United Bodyworkers & Artists in general and in this piece we wrote on Medium. Link to full article and a practical list of how to re-open when it's time in comments below.
