BASEBALL/SOFTBALL‼️

These are some of the best medicine ball drills for rotational athletes such as baseball and softball athletes.

1. Seated MB OH throws- great for core stability and strengthening.

2. Half kneeling Single arm MB push. - great for strengthening and stabilizing the shoulder complex.

3. Soft toss MB scoops - great for core stability and strengthening and enhancing trunk rotation and improving erector spinae in the traverse plane.

VOLLEYBALL‼️

Upper body strength is an important aspect for volleyball players.

Here we have overhead single arm jerk presses which adds strength, shoulder stability and added core strength.

End it with overspeed lateral, forward, and backward steps single steps action. Which mimics receiving a serves!

Building overall total body strength and reactive power.

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL hitting tee gym hack!

Can’t make it to the hitting!

Well just slice open a few old tennis balls about half way and hack away.

Slicing the tennis will take away the spring in the ball deflated the energy when you hit them.

Advantage is your able to hack away without worrying about breaking something!

You just need to a brick wall to bombs away!

SPEED MECHANICS‼️

Regardless of sport, the fundamental training of proper sprint mechanics is usually underdeveloped at the scholastic level.

Here we are emphasizing “Front side mechanics” specifically with this wall sprint drill.

Front side mechanics is a strong knee drive, maintaining ankle dorsiflexion, and making the sure the mid foot strikes the ground directly under the hip applying force.

The combination of knee drive and a quick heel recovery under the hip creates the horizontal force necessary for faster sprinting.

Lateral mini hurdle drills‼️

Lateral mini hurdle drills are a great way to strengthen adductors and the outside/inside edge of the foot!

Helping the athlete produce force when moveing laterally which are keys for quick reactions aka agility.

These drills will also improve the stretch reflex during the strength shortening cycle!

Great for all sports.
