We here at Amira Choice Minnetonka take great pride in our library and our amazing grandfather clock. We would also like to give a big shout-out to our resident volunteer librarian, Ruth Nelson. She is exactly the reason we have such a clean and organized library on our third floor! Each month she combs through our library, filtering out old books, organizing and putting checked-out books in the right place, and also adding the new books that we receive from donations from residents and outside vendors/donors. Thank you, Ruth, for all you do and for making our library what it is today!

Thank you again to Weber/St John for such a beautiful performance here at Amira Choice Minnetonka! Our Woodlands Neighborhood and IL/AL residents truly enjoy every moment you are here. The blend of violin and piano created such a calming and welcoming atmosphere, and it’s always a special experience having you here, something our residents genuinely look forward to.

What a fantastic evening at our Casino Night Happy Hour!

Our community was buzzing with excitement as residents tried their luck at baccarat, roulette, craps, blackjack, and even a little 6-5-4. From the sound of chips stacking to the laughter around the tables, it truly felt like a night in Vegas right here at home.

Our themed drinks—a classic dirty martini and a crisp dry martini—were the perfect touch to sip and savor throughout the evening.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the night so memorable. We love bringing these fun, engaging experiences to our residents and can’t wait for the next event!

We’d like to give a big thank you to our Life Enrichment Director, Tanner, for leading such an engaging and heartfelt presentation on the history of country and western music here at Amira Choice Minnetonka, including our Woodlands neighborhood.

Residents had the opportunity to take a walk through time as Tanner explored how country music has evolved over the years – from its early roots and unique instruments to the rich culture and stories that help shape the genre we know and love today. The presentation also highlighted some of the legendary stars who defined the sound of country music, including Jimmy Rogers, Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, and many more.

It was a wonderful blend of education, nostalgia, and great conversation. Thank you, Tanner, for bringing music history to life and creating such a meaningful experience for our community!

We wrapped up our St. Patrick’s week in the best way—with a festive Irish Happy Hour yesterday! Residents enjoyed a delicious spread featuring Irish cupcakes, classic Guinness, warm Irish coffee, and a crowd-favorite corned beef dip crustinis!

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with great flavors, good company, and plenty of Irish cheer. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a memorable celebration!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from all of us at Amira Choice Minnetonka!

We’ve had a wonderful time celebrating all things Irish with our community this week, including our Woodlands Neighborhood joining in on the fun. Our entire building came together for a special Passport Series presentation to Ireland, where residents enjoyed learning about the culture, music, blessings, and tradition, all while sampling Guinness and delicious soda bread.

The celebration continues with Lucky Bingo bringing a little extra charm to the week, and we’ll wrap it all up with a festive Irish Happy Hour to toast the occasion.

May your troubles be less and your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door!

Yesterday we had such a wonderful time at our Potting Party, and it was the perfect way to welcome the start of spring! Our residents had a great time getting their hands a little dirty, planting beautiful flowers, and enjoying each other’s company. There’s nothing better than watching something grow—and sharing a few laughs along the way.

A huge thank you to all of our residents who joined us and made the afternoon so special. Your creativity and enthusiasm truly brought the room to life!

We would also like to give a big shoutout to Lost in the Forrest for supplying the plants for our event. Your support helped make this such a fun and memorable activity for our community.

As we jump into spring, it’s always a great reminder to support and buy local whenever you can—our communities grow stronger when we grow together!

Happy International Women’s Day!

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, kindness, and achievements of women everywhere. From the inspiring women in our community to the mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and leaders who make a difference every day — we honor you and all that you do.

Fun Fact: International Women’s Day has been celebrated for over 100 years! The first official celebration took place in 1911, with more than one million people across several countries coming together to support women’s rights and equality.

Our residents had a wonderful morning at another Wake Up to Waffles event! The smell of warm waffles filled the room as everyone gathered to enjoy a delicious breakfast, great conversation, and plenty of smiles to start the day.

From classic toppings to sweet favorites, residents had fun building their perfect waffle and sharing the morning together. Events like this are a great way to bring everyone together and start the day with something special.
