The world just watched Elana Meyers Taylor win Olympic gold, but at home she’s focused on something even bigger: raising two boys with disabilities. 🥇❤️

As a mom to Nico, who was born with Down syndrome and hearing loss, and Noah, who also has hearing loss, Elana is a dedicated advocate for the disability community. Partnering with organizations like GiGi's Playhouse, Inc., she uses her platform to raise awareness about Down syndrome, break barriers, and uplift people of all abilities.

We’re proud to share her story and the impact she’s making beyond the podium. Congratulations Elana Meyers Taylor on your gold medal, and thank you for inspiring people with disabilities to pursue their goals and thrive in their communities.

Best Buddies Minnesota is looking for volunteers for their Best Buddies Citizens program, which creates meaningful, one-to-one friendships between adults with disabilities and community members.

Volunteers and adults with disabilities connect in simple, everyday ways. They might grab a coffee, catch a movie, or explore a new place together. No special skills are needed, just a willingness to show up and be a friend! ☕🎬
