Hello everyone!
Thank you for joining our next journey! A little history on us.
I became a mom at the young age of 18. My biggest fear was, and still is failing my daughter, not raising her well, and not teaching her to be a respectable person who cares for others, especially those less fortunate than us. I am a Registered Nurse at the Minocqua Urgent Care/Emergency Room and LOVE my job. I also have a son who is 16 months old and am married for almost three years.
Avery is my 8 year old daughter. She is my best friend and I am so thankful that God put her in my life at the age he did. She helped me to grow up and get my priorities straight. My life might have not gone down the right path if it wasn't for her. She not only cares about others, but her heart is so large, she loves with everything in her, she is the best big sister, and she would give anything to see someone else smile. Everyone needs an Avery in her life.
I decided to start this group to show my daughter that anything is possible. I started the new job at the Urgent Care/Emergency Room and I want the little kids who come in here to have something special to go home with. I want the waiting room to have things to keep them entertained. I want the adults to be able to have books to read, things to do. But more than that I want people to be able to enjoy their time here because nobody wants to be here and I want to try to make it a little less painful for them. I decided to involve my daughter in this and make her the main person in this because I think it is important for her to get experience in doing projects, helping others, and seeing the impact she can make.
