Last week, my mom and I got to go to a class hosted by The Flower Faery, where we made porch pots, and today, my tulips have started blooming nicely! While her upcoming class this week is sold out, she hosts them quarterly, if you ever want to try it for yourself, and of course, The Flower Faery also offers lots of landscaping services throughout the year, if that is what you need!

We had a lovely Walk with a Doc on Saturday (which had a Springtime in Paris theme, hence the berets), and I think everyone looked really sharp! One of our regular walkers, Sarah Hughes (a local business owner and Farmers Insurance agent) was sad she missed it, so I dropped a beret by to her office and reviewed my current office liability insurance to find that if I switch to Farmers, she can save me about $1600 a year! I love businesses that are truly focused on the needs of the people they serve.

Join us for our April Walk with a Doc on 04/11/26 at 10 AM at Lake Chaminwood! We will be discussing Music and Health, before going for a nice stroll around the lake. Because of the time of year and the topic, we're doing a Springtime in Paris theme, and attendees will get a free beret (while supplies last), and we will have French music to listen to.

Join us tomorrow, 03/14/26, for our March Walk with a Doc if you are in the Minooka area! At 10 AM at Lake Chaminwood, we'll have a talk about Fiber and its importance for your health, and then we'll go for a walk around the lake (0.7 or 1.4 miles, depending on if you do 1 or 2 loops). We will have bunny ears for those in attendance, so you can be festive if you celebrate Easter! The temperature is supposed to be just a little above freezing, and while it thankfully won't be as windy as today, the trail at Lake Chaminwood is usually still a little windy, so dress accordingly.

Back in November, I attended the fabulous Empower Conference, put on by the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce & Industry. All attendees were encouraged to write a note of positivity to be sent to another attendee, and this week I received mine in the mail. Indoor air quality is frequently much worse than outdoor air quality, especially during cold and flu season, when we rarely open up our windows because of the cold. You've probably seen posts lately about "house burping," which is essentially making a habit of airing out your house. Today is a great day to get some fresh air in our homes, before it turns cold again. (Those with respiratory conditions should check the air quality index in their area first, of course).
