Mental health touches many families, co-workers, and communities.

Many people still carry their struggles quietly. They may be worried about being judged, misunderstood, or seen differently.

What if we created spaces where everyone felt safe to say:

Breaking the stigma doesn’t start with big campaigns.

As we move through February, here is a gentle reminder that love isn’t only something we give to others — it’s something we offer ourselves, too. Not every day has to be productive or perfect. Some days are simply about slowing down, resting, and meeting yourself with compassion.

You will often find at the clinic: tail wags, extra cuddles, and delivering as much puppy love as possible from our "love bugs", Clementine & Cooper. They love making their rounds throughout the office, boosting moods, and reminding us all to slow down and soak in the good stuff.

We’re so grateful for the clients, families, and community who trust us to be part of your journey. It’s truly an honor to walk alongside you every day.

Winter burnout can show up as exhaustion, low motivation, irritability, or feeling emotionally drained — even when you’re trying to do your best. Short daylight days, cold weather, and fewer opportunities to recharge outdoors can take a real toll on oneself.

During this season, self-compassion matters. Sometimes we may need to rest more, lower our self expectations, and move at a gentler pace.

Sharing this great resource if you or somebody you know is in need.

Thank you Main Street Books & League of Women Voters of Plum Valley for providing this to our community. 💙💚

Recently, we received a large cash donation from the League of Women Voters of Plum Valley - and we were able to use it to purchase a bunch of frozen meatballs that have been on sale at Marketplace Foods - perfect for pasta, for a crockpot meal, for a sheet pan dinner with potatoes and carrots (which we have a lot of!) There is a lot more than what is pictured here.
We are also anticipating a bunch of eggs and milk to be delivered by 1pm today - a community fridge Good Samaritan has set up a weekly delivery off eggs and milk for Tuesdays for us for the foreseeable future. Wow!!!!!!!
Special thanks again the the League of Women Voters and to the Minot community for showing up for our neighbors!

In the new year, we’re setting boundaries like a good fence — not to shut people out or to put our guards up, but to protect our peace. Just like the dogs behind the gate, boundaries can help us feel safe, calm, and able to choose when to say yes… and when it’s okay to say no. You get to choose when to open and close the gate. Healthy fences make room for wagging tails and a little more peace of mind.

Setting boundaries can feel hard at times, but support makes it easier — and when you’re ready to start that journey, we’re here to help you build them one conversation at a time. 💚💙🫶
