Tonya’s role is unlike any other in our organization. While many of our team focus on day-to-day consumer services, Tonya is the one telling our story, sharing what we do, why we do it, and why it matters. She brings organization not only to our team, but to the entire community we serve. Her work helps connect people to our mission in meaningful ways and strengthens our presence in the community.

𝙁𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙜𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠, Independence, Inc. achieved one of our dreams when we moved into our own office building.

Today, this space is more than just a building, it is our home. It is where we work alongside people with disabilities, focused on removing barriers and achieving their dreams.

This building is where people have come during some of the hardest moments in their lives, searching for answers, support, and a way forward. Every conversation, every resource, every small step forward adds up.

We are incredibly proud of what this space has become over the past five years, and even more proud of the people who have walked through these doors and trusted us to be part of their journey.

Here’s to five years of removing barriers and achieving dreams, and to everything still ahead 💙

Taylor is our gatekeeper, the glue that holds our office together, and our Information & Referral queen. She keeps everything running smoothly and makes sure people get exactly what they need. We truly couldn’t do this work without her.

When she’s not keeping us on track, she’s leveling up in video games, loving all things Japan, and reminding us that ginger cures everything.

Hi… I’m Eldryce. But everyone here calls me Eldy.

I’m new to the team, but I’ve already claimed my favorite chair and started keeping an eye on things around the office.

From what I can tell, this is a place where people come to figure things out, get support, and take their next steps toward independence.

I think I’m going to like it here.

Our team was excited to show up and support our friends at Companions for Children - Youth Mentoring at the 2026 Martini Masquerade this weekend.

For the past several years, Lunch Pals+ has been a specialized, piloted partnership between Independence Inc. and Companions for Children in Minot, ND. This program focuses on matching children with disabilities with mentors who share similar lived experiences.
