Weโre excited to introduce Tyler Allers, an Independent Living Advocate who is committed to helping people live safely, independently, and on their own terms.
In his role, Tyler works with people with disabilities and those affected by aging across our service area to secure safer, more independent housing and the support services needed to prevent placement in nursing homes and other institutions. His work focuses on practical solutions, strong connections, and community-based options that allow individuals to remain in control of their lives.
To help the team and community get to know him better, Tyler answered a few questions. His responses are below. ๐

I help people stay out of nursing homes and other institutions and support them in living
independently in the community. I coordinate supports through the Transition and Diversion Program to help prevent people from staying in institutions longer than necessary. I work closely
with service providers, case managers, and community supports to create plans that fit each
personโs needs. I focus on supporting seniors, people with disabilities, and people with
behavioral health needs in reaching their personal goals.
