Most people know smoking indoors is a no-go. But just a heads-up: va**ng indoors isn’t allowed in North Dakota either. Thanks for helping keep shared spaces smoke-free for everyone 🙂

Have you heard of our Thank You for Not Driving initiative? It’s about recognizing and thanking our community members for making one simple, safe choice: leaving your car parked and not driving if you’ve been drinking.

A huge thank you to The Station and Ryan Family Dealerships for helping us spread appreciation across town.
Spotted a gift card on your windshield and cashed it in? Tell us what you picked! ☕👇

This initiative is supported by First District Health Unit through funding from the Partnership for Success Grant.

WOW Minot! 707 pounds.

That’s what this community made possible. Thanks to your donations during our Public Health Week food drive, we were able to deliver 707 pounds of food and hygiene items to the Our Lady of Grace food pantry.

Thank you for showing up and helping take care of your neighbors. This is what community looks like. 🤝

Jessa and Dawn visited the Matthew 25 Project in Minot this week for a wellness event, offering nursing services while also getting a firsthand look at the incredible work happening there.

Our team provided vaccinations, blood pressure checks, and shared health education materials during the two-hour event. In total, 87 individuals were served through the combined efforts of the Matthew 25 Project, their volunteers, and our team.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the community!

Our Public Health Week clean up was a success 🙌

Our Environmental Health Team, along with other members of First District Health Unit and MSU nursing students, spent the day out at three different locations around Minot helping clean up our community. From roadsides to other areas in need, every bag filled made a difference.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to clean up in their own neighborhoods. It all adds up!

Take a look at some moments from the day, including a few before and afters 📸

Tiny patients. Big check-ups. 🧸🦖🐔

Karla and Jessa from our nursing team, along with Morgen from MSU’s nursing program, visited Nedrose elementary school for a stuffed animal clinic during Public Health Week!

Students brought their favorite stuffed friends along for the visit, where they received vision screenings and got to give their stuffie a check-up too! They also learned about dental care and healthy habits for growing kids.

A big thank you to Dakota Kids Dentistry for donating toothbrushes to help keep those healthy habits going! ✨
