The goodness of God is not about what God can do for us, making our life easy and giving us our desires. The goodness of God is that His presence is with us and He is for us. In all our brokenness, sin and pain, He came for us. He left heaven to experience life as a man and experienced rejection, betrayal and excruciating pain and death but He loved us through it all.

All of our lives He has been faithful and His presence is always near and no matter how far we may have pushed Him away at times in our life, His goodness always comes running after us. For this reason, I will sing of the goodness of God!

The world is full of chaos and uncertainty, but we can be in peace knowing that God has us in the palm of His mighty hands. This brings peace and comfort in troubling times!

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Olive oil is one of my favorite fats for many reasons.

We’ve seen it’s a staple in Blue Zones and the well-researched Mediterranean diet, and this new study backs up its powerful impacts on healthspan and lifespan. It looked at more than 90,000 people over the course of 28 years and found that those who consumed the most olive oil (greater than a half tablespoon a day) had significantly lower risks for death from cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative diseases, respiratory diseases, and cancer.

It’s also interesting to note they found replacing butter, margarine, and dairy fat with the same amount of olive resulted in an 8-34% reduction in total and cause-specific mortality.
