Dr. Valderrama is a graduate of the prestigious Sophie Davis Medical College, part of the six year medical training program at City College of New York. She completed her medical training at Stony Brook University, before spending four years in residency, including a year as Chief Resident in OB/GYN at NYU -Long Island (then Winthrop University Hospital).

She has spent the last 40 years in private practice. Originally as the senior partner at Long Island Women’s Healthcare (Mineola, NY) and the last three years as a member of the New Life OB/GYN of Broward County.

She is a Board Certified member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Over the course of her career, Dr. Valderrama had been honored as the OB/GYN Attending of the Year (NYU-Winthrop University Hospital), named the Top Obstetrician/Gynecologist Long Island (International Association of Obstetricians & Gynecologists), selected by US News & World Report as one of the best doctors in America and received a lifetime achievement award from NYU-Long Island Hospital.

Dr. Valderrama also provides medical services at The Light of the World Clinic, treating women who do not have the income or health insurance to afford necessary medical care.

Dr. Valderrama is fluent in both English and Spanish.
