🌸 Women’s History Month Spotlight: Dr. Jane Cooke Wright

This Women’s History Month, we honor Jane Cooke Wright, a pioneering physician whose groundbreaking work helped transform cancer treatment around the world.

Dr. Wright was a leader in the development of modern chemotherapy, helping prove that certain drugs could successfully treat cancer—bringing hope to patients and families during a time when few treatment options existed. Her research changed the future of cancer care and saved countless lives.

A trailblazer in medicine, she also became one of the first African American women to hold a high-ranking leadership role at a major medical institution, while traveling globally to teach physicians about advancements in cancer treatment.

Her brilliance, courage, and dedication continue to impact medicine today. Dr. Jane Cooke Wright (1919–2013).

✨ A legacy of healing. A life that changed the world.

🕊 1 Thessalonians 4:14

“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”

Even in moments of sorrow, we hold fast to the promise of God’s Word. Scripture reminds us that those who rest in Christ are never truly lost, but are safely in His presence, awaiting the day we will be reunited again in His glory.

🌟 Community Spotlight 🌟

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on a South Florida legend — Mr. Cleveland, the master ice cream maker behind Cleveland’s Old Fashion Ice Cream.

With nearly four decades in the craft and a story rooted in passion, perseverance, and community, his journey is sweeter than any flavor he serves.

🍦 From iconic beginnings to building his own dream — you don’t want to miss this one.
