Celebrating the season together with the people who make this work so meaningful. 🎄✨
Our holiday party at Marfil Bistro was a wonderful opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, share a great meal, and enjoy time together as a team. Seeing our staff and physicians come together like this reminds us how much collaboration, dedication, and care go into everything we do.

What Happens After an Abnormal Pap Test?
If your Pap test comes back abnormal, it’s natural to feel uneasy — but take a breath. An abnormal result does not mean you have cancer. In fact, most women who undergo further evaluation do not.
If your results come back abnormal, your doctor may recommend a colposcopy. This exam is similar to a Pap smear, but uses a magnifying lens to closely examine the cervix for any changes.
During a colposcopy, your doctor may take a small biopsy to better understand what’s happening at a cellular level. Mild cramping afterward is common, and over-the-counter pain medications like ibuprofen or acetaminophen can help.
Once your biopsy results are ready, your physician will review them with you.
If you have questions or concerns about an abnormal Pap test, our team is here with clear guidance, expert care, and unwavering support.
Wishing all of our patients, families, and community a joyful Hanukkah filled with light, hope, and health. May this season of celebration bring warmth, peace, and special moments with loved ones.

Understanding your risk factors can play an important role in catching ovarian cysts early and protecting your long-term health. While ovarian cysts are common and often harmless, certain factors may increase the likelihood of developing one, including:
• Age — especially after menopause, when the risk for malignancy is higher
• Cigarette smoking
• Current medical conditions
• A personal history of ovarian cysts
• Hypothyroidism
• Use of infertility medications or treatments
• Tubal ligation
Some of these risks are within your control, and others simply aren’t. Either way, you don’t have to navigate this alone. Our board-certified physicians provide expert, attentive care for all types of ovarian cysts—with the uncommon compassion our patients know and trust.
If you have concerns or symptoms, we’re here to help you understand your options and get the care you need.
"Any unusual bleeding, especially bleeding that happens after
menopause, is never normal and should be evaluated promptly by a medical professional."
Many women can name the warning signs of breast cancer or colon cancer—but what about uterine cancer? It’s the sixth most common type of cancer in women, yet many miss the early warning signs that could save their lives.
Our own talented Jonathan D. Black, MD, along with other leading gynecologic oncologists, shares the signs and symptoms of uterine cancer in this article.
Fibroids are common, but they should never be ignored.
Uterine fibroids affect millions of women, and while many are harmless, others can cause symptoms like heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, pressure, bloating, or changes in urination. If you are experiencing any of these signs, it is important to get evaluated.
We diagnose and treat fibroids right here in our office, offering personalized care and guidance based on your symptoms, health goals, and treatment preferences. You do not have to navigate fibroid concerns on your own.
