After dealing with the stress of connection issues, this happened!
I was invited to discuss the latest CDC Autism report that indicates there was a delay in autism evaluations throughout the pandemic. The message is clear: yes, early intervention is important. However, this does not mean there's no hope for the kids that were not diagnosed earlier! The brain continues to make new connections throughout our lives based on meaningful experiences. The invitation is to seek out professional help as soon as you see signs of atypical development in your child.

Después de lidear con el estrés por problemas de conexión, esto pasó!
Fui invitada a discutir el último reporte del CDC acerca del autismo, que indica hubo retrasos en la evaluación de autismo durante la pandemia. El mensaje es claro: sí, la intervención temprana es muy importante. Aún así, eso no significa que no hay esperanza para los niños que no fueron diagnosticados más temprano. El cerebro continua haciendo nuevas conexiones a través de la vida basada en experiencias significativas. La invitation es buscar ayuda profesional tan pronto vean señales de desarrollo atípico en sus niños.
