When in doubt, choosing something simple and respectful is always appropriate. Showing up with care and consideration means more than anything you wear. 💙

Sometimes, the simplest words mean the most.

Saying “This must be incredibly hard for you” lets someone know their grief is seen, acknowledged, and understood.

When we show up with empathy, not answers, we remind others they are not alone.

💙 A little compassion can make a big difference.

Our next spotlight is all about our Senior Office Manager and Archivist, Pattie Riggs ! 💜

Pattie has been part of the Hahn Funeral Home family since May of 2001, when she first joined us as Office Manager. After many years of dedicated service, she briefly retired in 2020. We were so grateful when she agreed to return in January of 2024 to lend a hand while we searched for someone to fill the role full time.

After we welcomed a new Office Manager, Pattie transitioned more fully into her archivist role, coming in a few times a week to help out, scan files, and help us keep our records in order, while also enjoying the flexibility to spend plenty of time with her grandbabies.

Pattie married the love of her life in June of 1988, and if you ask her, she’ll happily tell you they are just as in love as ever. In her words, “It still feels like we’re on our honeymoon.”

She is the proud mother of two sons and a loving Nana to two grandsons, who bring her so much joy.

When she’s not spending time with her grandchildren, Pattie enjoys reading (sometimes finishing a book in just one day!), crocheting, and working on jigsaw puzzles.

We are grateful to have Pattie’s knowledge and dedication as part of our team. Thank you for everything you do Pattie!
