The clocks have changed and daylight is slipping away earlier each evening, leaving many of us feeling off. Shauntel Marcin, NP, says this shift can trigger Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a form of depression that surfaces when sunlight becomes scarce.

Her advice? Be proactive. Light therapy—using a 10,000-lumen lamp for 30 minutes each morning can help reset your mood and boost serotonin levels. Exercise, rest and a balanced diet also play a role.

Our tiniest patients in our Level III NICU were dressed up in adorable costumes—from cowgirls to superheroes—thanks to the creativity of our amazing NICU team.

This sweet tradition brings smiles and comfort to families spending their first holidays in the hospital. Every costume is chosen with care to keep babies cozy and safe.
