Alliance unions from region to region have ratified their contracts. This was hard. It was intense. And it took all of us— members, leaders, and locals—moving in unity every step of the way. UNAC/UHCP health care professionals have voted to ratify new contracts with Kaiser Permanente. After months of hard-fought negotiations spanning Kaiser facilities across California and Hawaii, which included multiple, escalating strikes, workers have won critical protections that will directly improve patient care. UNAC/UHCP members’ unity and commitment to the health and welfare of patients and communities have never wavered. When caregivers have a voice, patients are better off. Because of UNAC/UHCP, Kaiser patients will benefit from more time, better access, stronger communication, and higher quality care.

Screening Saves Lives.💙

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. As anesthesia providers, we see firsthand the critical role that early detection plays in patient outcomes. Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers when caught early through regular screenings.

We encourage our KPNAA community to stay informed on the latest screening guidelines and to continue advocating for patient education. Early detection isn’t just a goal—it’s a lifesaver.

This milestone reflects the strength of healthcare workers standing together across regions, classifications, and unions.
