Today is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day, and I’m proud to celebrate it as an RD myself. To me, being a dietitian isn’t just about meal plans or macros—it’s about meeting people where they are, cutting through the noise of diet culture, and helping folks build a relationship with food that actually fits their lives. Some days that looks like explaining why blood sugar stability matters; other days it’s just reminding a client that eating should include joy (and sometimes cake).
Grateful do have two roles in my profession, both requires empathy, and a lot of real-life listening.
