As traditions have it, some favorites this Easter season included the Ham Dinner, preceded by Happy Hour, followed a week later by a delayed 1st Friday Happy Hour and the Legg’s not Egg’s line up. You can’t have too much happy in life but we try to spread out the fun. We’re all happy Spring is here!

Beautiful harp music set the mood for the annual Black-White and Crimson special dinner event this week. Filet minion featured a wonderful 3 course dinner preceded by a Social Committee sponsored happy hour! Everyone enjoyed! Happy Valentine’s Day all! What’s not to Love!

New Year’s Eve celebrations were truly unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional cuisine, lively music by the Green Shoebox Band, and the wonderful company of our community. Special appreciation is extended to the Social Committee for organizing such a delightful event, exemplifying the best of Senior Living.

Happy Halloween! Who else gets to have neighbors like a retired Judge/male model, cereal killer, a witch, a diverse Samba band, members of the Addams family, Patrick Mahome’s shorter twin sister with mustach and there’s the pumpkin twins! Who could ask for more?

Happy Grandparents Day all! Seeing the kids and grandkids is what we love most! Chase McRoy and the Vincents topped off the “make your own” taco & ice-cream Sundae” bars, with some quality entertainment! This was our annual American Stroke Foundation fund raiser and it was another success! Next year we hope to be back outside with vintage, classic & antique cars again. Thanks to all who make these events happen, our social committee, residents and guests!

Excited to reduce the carbon footprint by installing Solar Panels at Mission Square! First, new roof, next month creating 45% of our normal electric usage! Leaving the planet better is exciting!

A wonderful trip to the Overland Park Arboretum got this group ready for summer. Love the Golf Cart tour and lunch at the Longhouse Cafe Celeste! What a great way to celebrate the new season! Shout out to Susie Dodd for setting up the day! Driving the group in a Mercedes Van was my part and soaking up some spring as the coach driver was a great job perk! I love working at Mission Square!

Easter dinner, blooming trees and flowers ushering in spring and a whole new wardrobe (well the one we have but couldn’t wear until now). Change is good! Love this change in seasons. Leggs-not-Eggs happy hour was fun as well! I had to share pics of this years Kauffman Memorial Garden! Tulips and dogwoods mean winter is gone! Hoping the weather is good Tuesday to cart around at the Overland Park Arboretum, our next outing. Love this time of year!
