Kansas University Center on Disabilities () kicked off Phase Two of the Kansas Employment First Pilot Project in Topeka yesterday. Down Syndrome Innovations was so grateful to be a part of the first round and is excited to help other providers on this second round. Our Director of Employment Services, Amanda Myers, spoke on a panel about how to support others to build capacity.

Our New Parent Breakfasts are designed for new parents and extended family members (prenatal to 2½ years old) to connect with others who have a young child with Down syndrome. These family connection events are FREE/DONOR-FUNDED thanks to our Step Up Walk donors, grantors and Community Partners! Join us this Friday, January 23rd for our first Family Social Hour this year in Central Missouri! We are trying a new location at Rock Quarry House located at 2002 Grindstone Pkwy in Columbia, MO. This is an opportunity for families to meet and exchange stories, resources, and fellowship! Dinner is provided. Registration required so we can plan for provisions.
