Meet Joy!

Hi, I’m Joy Romero—a proud mom of four amazing children and happily married to my best friend for over 26 years. Helping others has always been at the heart of who I am. After earning my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Findlay, I began my career as a licensed social worker, focusing on senior care and connecting individuals to the resources they needed most.

For the past 15 years, I’ve dedicated my work to education, serving in a variety of roles across different settings at Madison County Schools. Most recently, I’ve had the privilege of working with Gluckstadt Resources and Referral through MSU Extension, supporting families and communities in meaningful ways.

I’m truly excited to step into this new role as a Technical Assistant for the Nurturing Homes Initiative program. My mission is to continue advocating for the children of our state while empowering providers with knowledge and connecting them to resources that strengthen programs and make a lasting impact.
