Hello everyone! My name is Maggie and I am the Media Officer for the 25-26 school year! I’m currently a senior majoring in WFA Conservation Biology with a minor in Environment and Sustainability.

Over the summer I’ve been working at the Nashville Zoo as an intern on the carnivore team and have been learning alot about animal care and keeping in AZA facilities. Working with big cats especially is my dream and this experience added clouded leopards to my favorite animal list (along with polar bears and African painted dogs).

TWS has been a crucial part of my college experience, and I can’t wait to share that with more folks this year! 🦁

Hi! My name is Mayah Peterson and I am doing Outreach and Education for TWS this year 🦎
This is my second year in WFA and i’m super excited to do all the cool wildlife things with everyone this semester 😼

I interned at MSU’s Coastal Research and Extension Center this summer and spent a lot of time on the barrier islands! Marsh ecology is the coolest and my favorite animal is the spotted gar!

Hello everyone! I am a senior majoring in WFA with a concentration in Wildlife Agriculture Conservation. I’m an avid user of iNaturalist and love hiking and exploring. Other hobbies of mine include fossil hunting, metal detecting and insect rearing. My favorite animals are cats, skunks and salamanders!

This summer I am continuing my undergraduate research consisting of a floristic survey on a 500 acre property in south MS, which is in an ecoregion that has never been extensively surveyed botanically.

Joining TWS has been one of the most rewarding things I have done at MSU. I am excited to show you all the opportunities to get hands on with restoration and other things we have planned for this next year!

I’m Jared Skinner, the Outdoor Mentorship Officer for the 25-26 year. My favorite animal is an elk.

Over the summer I’m interning with the United States Forest Service as a Wildlife Intern. Plus kayaking and fishing as much as possible when not working!
